Zeus sends automatic chasers only during the contact hours that apply to the account and recipient. If a chaser falls outside those hours, Zeus moves it to the next available time.
Which contact hours apply
| Destination | Contact hours used |
|---|---|
| Every automatic chaser | Your account contact hours |
| US phone number with a geographic area code | Your account contact hours and US local restrictions |
| Other phone number | Your account contact hours |
Local rules can make your account's hours narrower, but never wider. They apply to automatic SMS and WhatsApp chasers. Manual messages and other automated messages are not affected.
See the United States contact-hour rules for the nationwide hours and additional state restrictions.
When a chaser can be sent
A chaser can be sent only while all applicable contact hours allow it. For US phone numbers with geographic area codes, Zeus estimates the recipient's local time from the area code. If more than one time zone is possible, the time must be allowed in each. Additional state and holiday restrictions may also apply.
Zeus leaves a ten-minute safety buffer before applicable contact hours close.
When a chaser is outside contact hours
When a chaser falls outside the applicable contact hours, Zeus moves it to the earliest time they all allow. If your account has no enabled contact hours, or no allowed time is available, Zeus does not send the chaser.
Changes before sending
Zeus checks the latest settings and conversation status again before sending. It moves the chaser if the contact hours have changed and cancels it if it is no longer needed, for example when the recipient has replied or a person has taken over the conversation.
